I graduated from Western Washington State College (now university). I met my future husband there - Canadian, of course. We moved to north eastern British Columbia on the Alaska Highway, built a log house, hiked and back-packed in the wilderness, rafted the Nahanni River several times, I taught elementary school for 15 years, and then we had our two children. Laurel is now 16, and Nathan is 15. My husband is with Air Canada, so we continue to travel the world. We are now settled in Alberta - just a few miles from Calgary. What a difference from life in the north!

Our other two other grandchildren are doing fine and growing like weeds. I turned 53 this past year and which was welcomed by some typical "old age " issues like aches and pains I never had before. Returned in 85 to Calif to finally finish my degree, for which I attained in 89 and then promptly went right into flight school for another 4 years. Today I work for SkyWest Airlines and based in Monterey Calif. Once again I head to JET school in Feb of 2002 in the middle of the Olympics in Salt Lake City. From a personal perspective, I've joined the divorce club. Married my college sweetheart. Our professions drew us apart. NO kids and no money made for a very pleasant split. Ironically we both have faculty positions at U.Penn. But every sad story has a happy side: and that would be that I am again enjoying time as a bachelor. New city, new job, new friends.

Hi! Landed back in Phoenix and looking for a job after a few mos off travelling from Portland, OR where I lived for 11yr. I worked in Yellowstone National Park for fun (well, money too, but...) and was running one morning early and met up with a grizzly bear! He ended up nipping me on the leg - wasn't seriously hurt, but the totally bizarre thing is I ended up in Sunday NY Times, on Today Show, in a bit on news with Tom Brokaw, on Letterman, etc. Sooo weird. Some of you will probably say that would only happen to me.... Too bad it can't help me get a job.

Chris Court '90

I have been wandering the world at large since graduation. My latest stop has been Reno, Nevada. I'm working for Enterprise (yeah the car people...odd place to end up....hopefully temporary) and am comtemplating my next move in the world. I think I'm not happy unless I'm in a permanent state of change. Over the years I have been everything from a stewardess on private luxury yachts to a licenced massage therapist and every crazy job in between.

As for personally, I'm not married and don't have kids and am very happy with the status quo these days. Living in Reno enables me to ski and hike to my hearts content in Lake Tahoe.

I have not been able to make it to any of the reunions (I seem to always find out about them after the fact.....) I have seen several old friends over the years, in fact, bumped into Jill long in the mall in Reno not too long ago. (It really is a small world sometimes)

I would love to catch up with everyone, so please feel free to send me a line. My email address is as follows c_court_98@yahoo.com If I'm slow in replying it's because I'm a bit lax in checking it regularly.

Stephanie Martin '90
